Ken Jowdy News brings you this happy news. An 18-hole course designed by African-American New Orleans-born golfer Joseph M. Bartholomew designed in 1956 is reopening six years after it was flooded by Hurricane Katrina.
The article states, “The city-owned course, known as the Pontchartrain Park golf course, opens Friday in conjunction with the annual Bayou Classic football showdown between Grambling State and Southern University.
